A Licensed Professional Counselor who holds a Doctoral Degree in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling Psychology, and co-supervises a clinical staff that serves hundreds of individuals throughout Central Arizona.
In 1982, along with Dr. Antonio Estrada, she co-founded and is a Co-Director / Clinical Director of Helping Associates, Inc. (HAI). HAI promotes mental and physical Health throughEducation, Learning, and Planning (HELP). In 2002 Dr. McGillicuddy co-founded and is a Co-Director of The Institute for Creative Solutions, LLC along with Dr. Antonio Estrada. Joan is listed in Who’s Who in American Women, Who’s Who in the World and is a dynamic, energetic and humorous presenter.
In addition to training extensively with Dr. Jose Silva, founder of Silva Mind Development, she has trained with the Harvard Medical School, The Menninger Foundation, and The Institute for Rational Living. Dr. McGillicuddy has been named “Outstanding American Lecturer” numerous times by Silva Mind International. She specializes in relaxation training, cognitive therapy, leadership training and helping people realize their full potential.

Kathy Peters has been a Silva practitioner since 2010. The techniques made a huge difference in her life. Kathy chose to become a certified Silva instructor so that she could teach others how to transform their lives. In 2015 she received formal training from Ken Coscia, Silva’s International Training Director.
Over the past several years Kathy has been mentored by Fr. Justin Belitz who is a renown international teacher. She continues to teach Silva Life System and Silva Intuition System with Justin.
Prior to becoming a certified Silva Instructor, Kathy was a training director for a Fortune 200 company where she taught and mentored many employees in process improvement techniques including 6 Sigma. Kathy also served as the President of the Power Speakers chapter of Toastmasters international for two years.
She has creatively applied the Silva techniques in her personal life and within her career. There is no limit to the ways the techniques can be applied in one’s life.
